A wordle is so easy to make...and fun...and free! Here's what their website says:
Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.
I have to admit, after reading chapter 1, I could not stop and read the whole book in 2 days. I always knew reading was all of these things, but this book tells teachers it's ok to give reading TIME in our day, that reading IS instruction, and our job is to know our students, our books, and strategies well enough to match them all together. It's not a one book fits all program, and I love that!
